OMG I just went back and watched the Benji/Donyelle waltz and WOW! Now that's a fabulous waltz, you're right, and the music definitely had something to do with it. Oh, I miss the old stage so much. Go back and watch that again--do you HEAR that crowd? Amazing.

I think you do have something there with the music choice. If it's just kinda plain 1-2-3, etc., with no real theme to it, it can take away from it. The "have you ever loved a woman" had a theme running through it of the spanish dance. I loved it. Waltz is hard!

Thanks dixly!

just a thought regarding the waltz with ryan and noelle. i think the waltz is a tricky one. from what i've seen from various comments, a lot of people liked this waltz. but i too wasn't totally enthralled with it. and the bad thing is i think a lot has to do with the music choice. it shouldn't be that way, i should think that the dance should just complement the music but when i find the music less than interesting, it makes me lose interest in the dance. if you think back to donyelle and benji dancing to 'have you ever loved a woman' it's a completely different story, don't you think?
